Ross Okimoto, MD (Principal investigator)
Ross is a physician-scientist in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology within the Department of Medicine at UCSF. He is broadly interested in understanding how transcriptional dependence leads to cancer progression and metastasis. Ross also maintains an oncology clinic, where he cares for patients with soft-tissue and bone sarcoma.
Zeinab Kosibaty, Ph.D (Postdoctoral fellow)
Zeinab is originally from Syria. She obtained her Ph.D at the University of Tsukuba in Japan and more recently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. She is interested in understanding how transcriptional dependence drives cancer progression.
Nicholas Thomas, MD (Postdoctoral Fellow)
Nick is a resident in Internal Medicine at UCSF. He is the recipient of the UCSF Dean's Prize for his research on the CIC-DUX4 sarcomas.
Cuyler Luck (Graduate Student)
Cuyler is a BMS student broadly interested in identifying novel regulators of Capicua expression in normal development and cancer. Cuyler is a Discovery Fellow at UCSF.
Nicole Shlimon (Research Specialist)
Nicole graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2022. She is interested in developing new therapies for CIC-DUX4 sarcoma. Nicole plans to study medicine and science in the future.
